The fine print · Version 2026-10-18

Photo & story licence

Short version: you keep your photos. You let us publish them, with credit, on Wheel Magazine and in our books. You can change your mind for anything we haven't printed yet.

1. Who's who

“You” is the person sending photos through this form. “We” or “Wheel Magazine” is Gonzalo Esponera, Madrid, Spain, who runs the Instagram account @wheel.magazine and its publications. Contact: magazinewheel@gmail.com.

2. What this covers

The photos you upload, the story you write, and the details we use to credit you (name, Instagram handle, city, country, bike, year and photographer). Together, “Your Content”.

3. You keep your rights

You keep the copyright in Your Content. This licence is non-exclusive: you can keep using, publishing or licensing Your Content wherever you like.

4. The licence you give us

You grant us, free of charge, a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to reproduce, distribute and communicate to the public (including making available online) Your Content, and to adapt it only as needed for publication: cropping, resizing, correcting tone, colour or dust, laying it out with other material, editing your story for length or clarity, and translating it, always without changing its meaning or distorting it.

We may use Your Content in:

The licence lasts for as long as the rights in Your Content last, subject to your right to withdraw (section 7).

Only we will use Your Content, together with the printers, publishers and distributors we work with, strictly to produce and distribute Wheel Magazine publications. We won't sell or license Your Content to anyone else, and we won't use it to advertise other brands without asking you first.

5. Credit

Whenever reasonably possible we'll credit you, and the photographer if you told us, using the name or handle you gave us: in the caption, as a collaborator on the post, or in the book. Everyone whose content is accepted into a book will be listed in its credits.

6. No payment, no obligation to publish

There's no fee for this licence. We choose what to publish and may decide not to publish Your Content.

7. Changing your mind

Email us at any time. Within 30 days we'll remove posts that show Your Content and won't use it in any new publication. We can't recall copies that are already printed, or a publication that is already in final production when you write to us; if that's the case, we'll tell you.

8. Your promises

If anyone claims rights over Your Content, please let us know. We'll remove it while we sort it out.

9. Age

You must be 18 or older to send photos.

10. How this agreement is made

By ticking the licence box and sending the form, you enter into this agreement electronically (Spanish Law 34/2002, LSSI). We keep a record of the version you accepted and when. This page always shows the current version, and you can ask us for the version you accepted. The agreement is in English.

11. Law

This licence is governed by Spanish law. If you're a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections of your country of residence and can bring a claim before your local courts.
